HIKUU Founder Jess Alizzi recently travelled to the incredible Wazuka region located in the Soraku District of Kyoto, Japan.
Jess was granted the rare opportunity to go behind the scenes of a local tea farm, where she could experience and enrich her knowledge on Japanese tea culture and long-lived Japanese tea traditions.
She welcomed the opportunity to visit beautiful tea fields in the surrounding mountains and explore tea processing factories, which was a truly enriching, cultural experience.
She shared a traditional Japanese lunch with the tea farmers, where they had the opportunity to share life stories and experiences.
